As if people didn't hate Nicole Richie enough, she has to go right ahead and alienate a solid 90% of the population just by throwing a party. The celebrity blogosphere is on fire about Nicole's Memorial Day party invitations, which apparently specified that no girls who weighed over 100 pounds would be admitted and that scales would be on the premises in order to keep fatties outside. There is yet to be confirmation that guests on the 100 pound threshold would be encouraged to purge themselves in a designated zone away from invited guests and then re-attempt to enter, but speculation abounds.
Bricks and Stones weighed in with their usual volley of, well, bricks and stones with a review of the night's events, “the party was held at "Masha's" house, a nickname for Paris Hilton. Mischa Barton , a guest at the party, collapsed and was hospitalized after mixing alcohol with antibiotics.” Sounds like a regular night out at T.G.I. Friday's! Bricks and Stones latest post, aptly titled “No fat chicks for Nicole,” closed with some relatively scathing words, “Maybe she put the 100 lbs limit in the email so that only 9 year-olds showed up to her party, they would be more her mental speed anyways.”
I assure you, that's exactly what they said.
Hollywood Grind weighed in with their own take on Richie's party and Mischa's inability to hold her liquor and antibiotics. Barton reportedly “mixed her drugs and alcohol and, according to an insider, was rolling around on the ground and then suddenly she began screaming that she was dying. She then passed out and was taken to Sherman Oaks Hospital” Nice. Their latest post also declared that Richie's party was disrespectful of the troops because it was held on memorial day. “She makes it sound like it’s cool to bash and all around not appreciate U.S. troops dying so she can have her party.”
While it's probably a safe bet that America's soldiers in Iraq have bigger problems to think about than Nicole Richie's parties, you can rest assured that everybody in the celebrity blogosphere considers it a veritable cluster bomb of gossip and mud-slinging.
